After his Matriculation, he moved to Delhi and later joined the Indian Army’s Corps of Signals, where he served with distinction as a Foreman, eventually rising to Honorary Captain. His postings took him across India—from Mumbai to Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, and Jammu.

A devoted family man, he married Smt. Shakuntla Devi and together they raised a daughter, Poonam, and sons Sunit and Sudhir, teaching them humility, integrity, and hard work. After retirement, he built a home in Delhi. He passed away on 12 June 2012, leaving a legacy of quiet duty, resilience, and enduring family values.
